Pentecost - Red
This Chasuble is inspired by the work of George Frederick Bodley. The body of this chasuble is made out of red cotton linen embossed damask. The shape of the chasuble is Semi Gothic and the lining is made out of man made taffeta in antique gold shade.
The braids are the studio's recent reproduction of the early of A.W.N Pugin and probably made around 1848 for the Abbey.
The orphrey's pattern are inspired by a carved silver pyx made in the 18th century. The colour are specially selected to contrast with the braid along.
The emblem of chalice are made by hand with cloth of gold and outline with various type of gold yarn.
The chasuble is then decorated with the fire embroidery in gold all around.
